Public Profile

Data Sciences International (DSI), formerly dba Transoma Sciences, is a medical technology company working in the implantable wireless diagnostic and monitoring products space. In January 2018, DSI was acquired by Harvard Bioscience - itself an SBIR firm. In the physiologic monitoring technology arena, DSI had offered the Sleuth ECG Monitoring System, an implantable wireless system to capture electrocardiogram data for diagnosing cardiac arrhythmias, as well as to monitor the electrical activity of the heart and transmit data from the patient's home to monitoring centers. The firm pioneered use of wireless implantable telemetric devices for monitoring and collecting physiological data from conscious, freely moving laboratory animals. The company is also in the process of adapting its core telemetry technology for the human-use medical device market.
