With the name of the firm derived from the Sanskrit word for 'face' - Mukh - Mukh Technologies is a spin-off from face recognition research undertaken at at the University of Maryland. With an exclusive licensing agreement signed in 2015 for the developed IP addressing face detection, alignment and recognition, the firm was established to develop and build products using the technology. Within one year of founding, the first product offered was a hyperface technology for face detection, key point detection and pose estimation online. The firm's production-ready system - face detection and analytics - can be deployed as an on-premises solution that can run in most platforms: from cellphones to super computers.
