Co-founded by a University of Iowa otolaryngologist and an otolaryngology resident with the support of UI Ventures, IotaMotion Inc spun out of the University to address development of a novel robiic system for use in performing cochlear implantation for improved hearing outcomes. With expertise in implantable robotics, electrode re-positioning, the proprietary approach of Iotamotion is focused on individualized hearing loss treatment designed to allow for enhanced natural hearing preservation, optimizing hearing quality over time. IotaMotion solutions address standardize implant insertion intended to expand access to cochlear interventions for surgeons and patients alike. The premise of management is that the next wave of hearing preservation demands a dynamic solution, because hearing-loss is not a static problem.
