The Keep a Breast Foundation (Los Angeles, CA www.keepabreast.org) has awarded Zumatek a grant to study the use of non-compressive 3D breast CT to study the impact on under-represented groups. There are several groups currently under-represented with traditional compressive mammography. Based on results of our initial pilot study, many women indicate the Zumatek imaging procedure is not painful and actually quite comfortable. The research funded by this grant will seek to determine the impact of compressionless breast imaging on these under-represented groups.
