Excite Optics Corporation has developed a probe that can measure algal toxins in bodies of water. The field deployable instrument was successfully used by scientists at the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL). Excite Optics Corporation was also able to generate profiling data by SPR imaging to show that the toxin could be detected in lake water samples
