Founded after exiting the first high technology venture, Adaptive Technologies, Pettit Applied Technologies, Inc. structured to function as a vehicle to explore and develop new technologies and business opportunities. Presently, four businesses define the group of companies: (1) Embedded Design Group specializing in developing systems and products with embedded computing for industries including medical, aerospace and industrial control: a Microchip Technology authorized design partner and is pushing the frontiers of embedded machine learning, Internet of Things and digital control. (2) iDNA Technologies is a follow up to successful venture MicroLab Diagnostics and is advancing technology for wearable and home diagnostics, immunotherapy and cancer screening. Customers include several medical device companies that are marketing infectious disease diagnostic instruments and an early stage cancer diagnostics company. (3) Fiber Design Group is developing next generation navigation devices for autonomous vehicles, high efficiency electrical power control to improve the efficiency of electric vehicles, and fiber optic sensors for environmental sensing and aerospace applications. Firm has multiple awards from US Air Force Research Laboratory to develop fiber optic based sensors for aircraft control systems. Working with Boeing to develop fiber optic based sensors for distributed sensing onboard aircraft. (4).CyberLume is developing technology for Internet and communication security using quantum information science and counterfeit detection to address the huge issue with fake or counterfeit products in the commercial, consumer and Government supply chains
