Gliimpse collates usersâ personal health data from different platforms, turning information from labs, hospitals, and pharmacies into a single shareable report. This report can be used to provide doctors with a complete medical record, but Gliimpse also suggests that users donate it anonymously to a "national health graph," which would provide raw material to researchers seeking medical breakthroughs. The Gliimpse acquisition expands Appleâs existing portfolio of programs that collect or manage health data.The company's technology uses machine learning to translate incomprehensible electronic medical records into standardized, coded elements (LOINC, RxNorm, CPT, ICD and SNOMED) and terminology that can be understood and used by both humans and machines.
