In October 2008, Illuminex was acquired by TubeMogul, which tracks video viewsIlluminex Corporation develops device technology based on the unique optical and electronic properties of nanowires. Since inception, Illuminex has made significant advances in developing proprietary methods to produce well ordered and uniform nanowire arrays of made from metallic and semiconducting materials. The nanowire array platform is used to develop methods to make improvements in existing technologies and to invent novel new concepts. Illuminex is currently using nanowire arrays for three products: 1. Novel low cost, high efficiency silicon nanowire photovoltaics, 2. low-profile, high performance heat-pipes for thermal management, 3. Bio-sensor for detecting minute quantities of disease indicators for medical screening
