Today, the World Economic Forum released its list of the 2014 Technology Pioneers. Jana is proud to have been chosen as one of the 36 leading startups to be selected for this esteemed recognition. We have always strived to meet the standards of this title: to "carry opportunities for growth, generate innovative technologies and solutions for unresolved or longstanding problems and, ultimately, help redefine new possibility frontiers." To be recognized for our innovative approach to advertising in emerging markets is a great honor.

A year and a half ago, we released our first infographic on why mobile ads in emerging markets are the future. The graphic was meant to highlight the burgeoning opportunity for brands to engage with consumers in emerging markets through their mobile phones. At the time, many global companies were just dipping their toes into the digital marketing space, particularly in developing nations. WEF Technology PioneerNow, over a year later, emerging markets have truly emerged as the next great digital frontier. Jana has expanded its reach from 2.1 to 3.48 billion prepaid mobile phone users, launched a self-serve Jana Instant Airtime product, and received $15 million in new funding from the world's largest advertising company. Our recognition from the World Economic Forum is an amazing addition to our list of accolades and we are thrilled to be able to share this news. Additionally, Jana's CEO Nathan Eagle will be attending the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian, China next month.

Upon joining our Board, Maurice Lévy, CEO of Publicis Groupe and one of the most influential executives in the advertising world, had this to say: "With its platform, Jana is changing the face of advertising by enabling us to invest in targeted, mobile-based campaigns that put advertising dollars directly into the pockets of the ‘next billion' consumers our clients are most eager to reach. As a result, brands become more valuable to people, and people become more economically empowered. I am confident that Jana will help consumers in those markets to have a better life." As a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, we will continue to change the face of advertising and work towards our mission of redirecting a portion of the world's advertising dollars to airtime. More effective advertising, better insights, and more disposable income in the pockets of consumers. That's a win for commerce in every direction.
