Torch Technologies Awarded Gulf Range Drone Control System Contract by the Air Force

Torch Technologies, an employee-owned technology services and solutions company, headquartered in Huntsville, is proud to announce it has been awarded the software engineering and systems engineering support contract for the Gulf Range Drone Control System (GRDCS). The customer is the 46th Range Control Squadron (46 RNCS), 46th Range Group (46 RN), 46th Test Wing (46 TW), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. GRDCS is operational at Tyndall AFB, FL; Holloman AFB, NM; and the Utah Test and Training Range. Software engineering and systems engineering support will be provided at the Central Control Facility (CCF) at Eglin AFB, FL using CMMI Level 3 processes. GRDCS is used to control remotely piloted drones used for test purposes. Torch CEO, Bill Roark commented "This effort is a natural extension of current work into a new customer base. Torch is honored to be selected to support this important mission for the Air Force."
