IntraMedical Imaging markets instruments for Surgery to detect tumors and lymph nodes. Technology is based on the injection of special isotope-labeled pharmaceuticals that emit gamma or beta rays. Surgeons using the firm's radiation detection instruments (probes) locate the labeled tissue during surgery. Current applications for IntraMedical’s Gamma and PET probes include sentinel lymph node mapping and tumor localization.
