Manning Applied Technology (MAT) was founded to upgrade obsolete Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometers and add step-scanning capabilities. MAT provides consulting and contract research in the related areas of FT-IR instrumentation and spectroscopy, including digital signal processing and electronics. More recently, MAT has developed a series of instruments for polymer rheo-optical measurements and pioneered in the area of very-rapid-scan FT-IR spectrometry.
