Public Profile

In December 2000, Innerdyne Inc was acquired by Tyco International in a stock swap. In 1994, CardioPulmonics had bought Innerdyne Medical. InnerDyne works on development of minimally invasive surgical access products incorporating its proprietary radial dilation technology. The company pursued applications for radial dilation in areas outside its primary market focus with the intent to commercialize either internally or through strategic alliances. InnerDyne also developed biocompatible coating technologies to be utilized for increasing the efficiency of membrane oxygenator fibers and the application of specialized drugs and or radioactive isotopes to the surface of implantable medical devices, enhancing their performance.
