Corn Products International (CPI) is an ingredient solution provider to food & beverage, paper and other industries such as personal care, pharma. The core technology and production is based on carbohydrates, especially derived from corn wet milling and other starch-based raw materials such as tapioca, potato and rice. Starches are being modified chemically, physically or enzymatically to yield a constellation of product families: sweeteners (dextrose, high fructose corn syrup), maltodextirns, modified starches (as rheology modifiers, texturizing ingredients, encapsulating agents), biomaterials (as alternatives for petroleum based products) In more recent years, CPI diversified into non starch based ingredients such as natural intense sweeteners (stevia) and enzymatically derived prebiotics (fructo-oligosaccharides).
