By deliberate choice, the ASSETs Forum is not a large attendance event. We rarely involve more than about 125-130 people. Consistent with this approach, the number of Tech Seekers in any annual ASSETs Forum is generally in the range of 12-15 large and mid-sized firms.
The ASSETs approach requires fairly extensive pre-event interaction between Tech Seekers and qualified, potentially interested SBIR-nvolved firms. The approach is to lay much of the groundwork pre-event to enable those involved to get down to business fairly quickly at the event. Too many players would limit the extent of that effort.
In like manner, the effort is to engage a broad cross-section of industry segments. Not only does this ensure that people do not have to make difficult vhoices about which concurrent break-outs to attend - their choice is usually obvious - but, very important. it has been out considerable experience that many of themost interest deals to come out of previous ASSETs - and there have been several - have engaged
