Offered by longtime SBIR advocate, the Innovation Development Institute (idi), this annual, by-invitation event is the flagship activity of a year-round, technology-matching approach collectively known as the ASSET system - Access SBIR-STTR Scientific and Engineering Talent system. Grounded in powerful proprietary relational databases in which the technology and business condition of all SBIR-STTR awardees are tracked in exquisite detail, the ASSET system is an integrated needs-driven, market-pull effort structured to bring together those in large and mid-sized firms with external technology outreach responsibility with appropriately qualified SBIR-STTR awardees. Objective: an appropriate form of collaboration

Pre-event

  • the designated Tech Seekers - the 10-12 larger firms involved in this year's Forum - will have flagged their areas of technology interest for collaboration
  • across all federal agencies and from all parts of the US, only those SBIR awardees with relevant skills sets and capabilities to address those opportunities are invited to participate in the Forum.

Highly interactive and participation focused, the Forum also includes useful best practices and relevant informational sessions.
