Set up with differing levels of access and search capability, Database-Use Accounts are primarily offered as an online, self-help service. These accounts are designed to enable those with an ongoing - but somewhat limited - interest in the extent and form of SBIR-STTR activity and the small firms that are involved to engage in that basic tracking activity for themselves, at their own pace and own convenience.
Provision of special reports and services, extended consultations with Innovation Development Institute staff or participation in custom activities are specifically NOT covered directly by this type of account.
Service Discounts:
For those who have occasional need of access to specialized report functions or analyses, or to the range of other offline services provided by the Innovation Development Institute, Database-Use Accounts are set up to include a discount on the cost of some of those services. That discount is commensurate with the level of their base account - see listing below.
Covered by the Service Discount are
o compilation of special analytical reports, o development of custom data sets; o provision of some awardee profiles; o some limited offline consulting and project management; o technology placement transactions; o out-source R&D arrangements (open solicitations only); o Technology Transfer or Venture Capital Fair convenings (group organized only); o participation in idi organized, SBIR Awardee-targeted events .
